Social Responsibility

As Zingaro is situated near a local township and as a large portion of our labour force is derived from this local area, we see it as our duty as a South African company to support and assist in the upliftment of this immediate area. With this in mind, we source our staff from the local community where possible, and sponsorships are granted. This "green company" in general tries to function in an environmentally and people-friendly manner as much as possible.

Local Township Soccer Team Sponsorship

This soccer team, made up entirely from residents from the township near our factory, consists of U13 and U15 teams. These teams practice twice a week and take up any challenge or invitation to play tournaments and friendly matches.

After being approached for sponsorship in 2008, Zingaro adopted the team as its own. We sponsor a fixed sum annually and believe that sport is an active way of promoting positive community values, team work and healthy recreation.

Zingaro is excessively proud of its team – not because it has taken part in and won trophies and tournaments – but because of the commitment of its young coach, the tenacity and dedication of the team members and the good name they have built up over the past year.

Zingaro - the Solar Company - hopes to sponsor more teams in the future, adding to the social responsibility of this "green company".
